Innsbruck: tiny tiny city around Alps!

Well in fact its population is only around 120,000! So I am a bit right in saying 'tiny tiny'!

Innsbruck is such a beautiful Alpine city, not a crowded one. It is indeed fascinating to see Alps with piles of snows from your street. We stayed here for two days. First day we climbed up the mountain. Well, we at least hiked till some point and took a cable car to the top of the mountain.

I wanted to have an apfelstrudel in the restaurant at the top, but the desert we paid for turned out to be a topfenstrudel! Anyways I managed to enjoy myself with a piece of apfelstrudel before leaving Innsbruck. The most adventurous thing we experienced was getting down to the city center after cable car. It was dark and we missed the hiking path, which leaded us to the road without any sidewalks! We zigzagged a bit according to the traffic. Fortunately there wasn't that much car around. Anyways, since the road was meandering a lot, we were forced to take a small hiking path through the woods after a while. Oh god that was indeed thrilling! We tried to make our way down with the flashlight of the cell phone on these steep and tiny paths. I never and ever will forget about it!

Then of course we took a stroll around Altstadt and the rest of the city, which wasn't that adventurous after all :p

One of the most interesting things we have experienced was that we could not find any place to have our brunch on sunday! Almost every place was closed! After getting around  a bit finally we found a small and crowded cafe to have a light brunch! But after Zurich, Innsbruck was a perfect place to have our proper dinners in fact. We got really delicious dinners at both nights. I wish I could remember the names of those restaurants :( The first one was a restaurant in a hotel, in fact and the second one was a steakhouse. I had a real difficulty in finishing my burger!

Maybe two days were a bit a lot for Innsbruck. For sure if you have a full time from early in the morning to the late at night, it should be fine. However we had arrived there afternoon, so that we needed to devote two days of time.
